Elysium at ETHDenver: #BUIDLing the Future of Blockchain

Denver, US | February 29 — March 3, 2024

Elysium recently embarked on an exciting journey at ETHDenver, an event that is home of blockchain innovation. Our Chief Technology Officer, Gianmarco Guazzo, flew to Denver, Colorado for three days to represent Elysium in one of the biggest events in the Web3 space.

The Essence of ETHDenver:

Located in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado, the event is the capital for blockchain enthusiasts. ETH Denver stands at the crossroad where blockchain intersects with culture and education. The event offered a dynamic array of workshops, talks, mini-summits, fireside chats, panels, and NFT Galleries, providing a 360° view of the blockchain landscape.

For Elysium, ETHDenver presented a valuable opportunity to network and create connections within the blockchain community, specifically the one working on the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) ecosystem. We aimed to explore potential integrations, co-branding opportunities, and future partnerships with key industry players. Our interactions at the event were essential in understanding emerging trends and fostering collaborative relationships.

Key Highlights and Trends:

Elysium’s CTO returned from ETHDenver with insightful highlights and emerging trends that are set to shape the future of blockchain technology:

  • Account Abstraction: As Account Abstraction is released on Ethereum, it sets a new standard, streamlining user experience in interacting with blockchain technologies. This innovation is already being adopted by the first wave of wallets, promising enhanced usability for users.
  • Rollups and Rollups as a Service (RaaS): The infrastructure supporting Layer 2 solutions for Ethereum is rapidly evolving, promising lower costs and faster transaction speeds. This development is set to drive scalability and efficiency within the blockchain ecosystem.
  • DePIN: The rise of the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network signifies the increasing adoption of smart contracts, extending blockchain technologies beyond digital realms to real-world applications through IoT integration. This trend sets a new era of decentralized automation and innovation.
  • Real World Assets (RWA): Institutions are gravitating towards RWA, which involves digitizing financial instruments such as bonds and stocks, traditionally issued by banks, and integrating them into blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platforms. This move is driven by the desire to leverage the advantages of these technologies, including enhanced speed of execution, streamlined processes, and overall improvement in how these instruments are managed. Currently, these instruments are principally managed manually, involving difficult handling of paperwork and processes. By transitioning to blockchain and DLT solutions, institutions aim to improve the management of these assets, fostering innovation and efficiency. Major players in the traditional asset industry are stepping forward to embrace this transition. As of recently Black Rock, one of the leading providers of investment, advisory and risk management solutions worldwide, has officially launched its first fund on the Ethereum blockchain. The tokenized fund BUIDL in its first week, has raised over $240 Million in deposit.

Looking Ahead:

ETHDenver played a pivotal role for innovation and collaboration, from the direct experience of our CTO:

“ETH Denver was a really cool experience to connect with the EVM ecosystem and understand where the community wants to push the boundaries. What’s amazing about this place is the union and passion for these new technologies. The question I was asked most often was: what are you building? The future is for the builders, and we are sooo IN”.

As these trends begin to take shape, Elysium remains committed to shaping the future of blockchain technology. We are eager to explore new opportunities, collaborate with key industry players, and redefine the possibilities of digital assets.
