Elysium’s Journey at START summit in St. Gallen

Elysium Lab's experience at START Summit, the place where innovative minds meet.

Elysium’s Journey at START summit in St. Gallen

St. Gallen, Switzerland | March 21–22, 2024

In the evolving landscape of innovation and entrepreneurship, START Summit is the place to be. Elysium proudly attended the summit organized by START Global in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The event is hub of future disruptors, where over 120 startups from many different industries automotive, drones, software, hardware, spatial and much more could showcase their products.

Elysium’s presence at START Summit

Onboarding into the dynamic two-days journey of START Summit, our Elysium’s team was ready to showcase our vision and ideas.

With a dedicated booth signed Elysium at our disposal, we had the opportunity to engage with many visitors, from curious minds wanting to learn more about our mission to talented individuals eager to explore Elysium’s world. We had the pleasure to talk to over 150 students with different backgrounds and coming from all over the world, from the university of St. Gallen, Zurich and Lausanne but also from London, Berlin and Singapore.

As the venue also was home of the START hack, the annual hackathon, we could exchange some thoughts and ideas with the hackers and confront common technical themes. Innovation is always linked with technical aspects, so it is great to have the opportunity to always be updated and have technical feedback.

And while we had the opportunity to present our wallet the reactions were incredible: ”No, it is impossible you can actually create this!” Yet, it is actually real, and we are already making it happen!

With the cryptocurrency market experiencing a renewed positive growth and in continuous expansion, we are proud to have received positive feedback and sensed strong excitement around Elysium.

Even if the cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies remain niche markets, compared to some years ago it is possible to perceive a shift. Now, startups target real users’ needs and prioritize the transparency of technologies for the end users. Aiming at developing these technologies with a more user-friendly interface, by eliminating the barriers typically associated with having a strong technical knowledge for their usage.

Fostering innovation and connections

Our presence at START Summit was not just about presenting Elysium, it was about fostering valuable connections. We were immersed in an energetic atmosphere and dynamic conversations. Discussing with fellow entrepreneurs to explore potential collaborations, connecting with investors and angels to unlock valuable opportunities, and engaging with potential talents to join our vision.

Moreover, our team engaged in conversations with different companies, to set grounds for what could be future partnerships or opportunities to develop proof of concepts (PoCs) and integrate our technology in the corporate world. Every exchange added value and fresh perspectives to our journey, fuelling even more our passion for innovation and progress.

It was great to discover that at START Summit there was also the significant presence of Swiss institutions from IGE-IPI the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, Innosuisse the Swiss Innovation Agency and Universities, especially the University of St. Gallen, and how they are committed in fostering future innovations and support entrepreneurs.

At the Summit we had the pleasure to reconnect with Tenity’s team, taking the chance to discuss and align on our next goals both in terms of product development and business strategy. It is great to experience continuous support even after our participation in Tenity’s Incubation Program has concluded.

Elysium’s CEO Aron Clementi expressed:

”The start summit for a Swiss-made startup like Elysium represents a window into the European venture landscape and an excellent opportunity to establish connections and visibility in the region”.

Expanding Horizons: workshops and seminars

START Summit value extended beyond the borders of our booth. Elysium’s team actively participated in various workshops and seminars, and each of them represented an opportunity to expand our knowledge and refine our strategies. These sessions were led by esteemed speakers, industry experts and global leaders of innovation, diving into topics such as startup growth strategies, fundraising insights, and emerging technologies. Including among these Jaroslaw Kutylowski Founder & CEO of DeepL, Katharina Lasota Heller Co-Chair of Crypto Valley Association and Max Hauer Head of Innovation Economy DACH at J.P. Morgan.

As the event came to an end, START Summit represented an opportunity to reinforce our commitment to progress and collaboration.

Celebrating innovation: The Afterparty

The journey ends, but not without some fun. Under the notes of the DJ Max Keller, the START Summit after party was a moment to foster even more connections and networking, while enjoying some leisure time after two immersive days in the energetic atmosphere of innovation.

We will be back next year at START Summit 2025, and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store… stay tuned!
